For a number of years the World Series of Poker has been the largest series of tournaments in poker and the biggest wins in history have come from here. The current champion of the Big One for One Drop tournament Daniel Colman won an incredible $15,306,668 which is equivalent to about £9 million. What was even more remarkable afterwards was his muted reaction to this life changing event. Daniel’s win though did not reach the heights of the 2012 winner Antonio Esfandiari who won $18,346,673. This remains the largest win in poker history. The World Series of Poker Main Event has been responsible for the majority of the other major poker wins. The 20014 winner Martin Jacobson scooped the first place prize of $10 million. The largest Main Event win remains that of Jamie Gold in 2006 and that actual tournament is still the largest in poker history with a total prize pool of $82,512,162 of which #12 million went to the winner.
